AIGLE, Switzerland (AP) — The International Cycling Union has provisionally suspended French rider Steve Houanard after he tested positive for EPO.
The UCI says Houanard tested positive for the banned blood-boosting hormone in an out-of-competition urine sample he gave on Sept. 21.
The governing body says Houanard is suspended until the French Cycling Federation completes its disciplinary case.
The Ag2r-La Mondiale rider has the right to attend the analysis of his backup sample.
