OTTAWA, Ontario (AP) — Canadian women’s soccer star Christine Sinclair has been suspended four games by FIFA “displaying unsporting behavior” at the London Olympics.

After Canada lost to the United States in overtime in the semifinals, its captain said the team felt “cheated.”

Sinclair had a hat trick in the 4-3 loss. The U.S. tied the game late in regulation on a penalty after two disputed calls.

Soccer’s governing body also fined Sinclair an undisclosed amount Friday after a hearing in Switzerland.

The Americans went on to win the gold medal in London, while Canada earned bronze.
