HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) — Dae’Quan Scott ran for a 3-yard touchdown for James Madison in the second overtime, and William & Mary couldn’t convert the two-point attempt after answering with a score, sealing the Dukes’ 27-26 win Saturday.

After Scott’s score put the Dukes (5-1, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association) up 27-20, Raphael Ortiz tossed a 7-yard touchdown pass to Tre McBride on William & Mary’s turn in the second overtime to pull within one. But the Tribe (2-5, 1-3) opted to go for two and Ortiz’s pass attempt failed, sealing the win for James Madison.

The teams traded field goals in the first overtime after William & Mary’s Drake Kuhn kicked a 39-yarder, the only score of the fourth quarter, to send the contest into OT.

Scott had two TDs on 69 rushing yards. James Madison’s Justin Thorpe threw for 157 yards with a TD and an interception, while also rushing for 106 yards.
