SEATTLE (AP) — Tight end Aaron Hernandez is active for the New England Patriots on Sunday against Seattle, his first game since suffering an ankle injury in Week 2.

Hernandez was hurt early in the Patriots’ loss to Arizona on Sept. 16. He’s missed the previous three games, but was a limited participant in New England’s first two practices this week and listed as questionable on the injury report.

Hernandez’s return is important as the Patriots are without wide receiver Julian Edelman. He was questionable with a hand injury and was downgraded to out on Saturday. Also out is starting linebacker Dont’a Hightower who had a hamstring injury.

Seattle defensive tackle Clinton McDonald is inactive with a groin injury suffered last week against Carolina. He was doubtful on the final injury report.
