ZURICH (AP) — FIFA has imposed a global life ban on a former Nicaragua player accused of match-fixing.

Defender Armando Collado was banned for life on a national level by the Nicaraguan federation for allegedly manipulating his team’s exhibition against Guatemala in Miami on Sept. 4, 2010. Guatemala won 5-0.

FIFA’s disciplinary committee on Tuesday decided to extend the sanction worldwide after reviewing the case file.
