Midnight, 8, likes to get out for walks but keeps things low-key, too. He knows basic commands and is house-trained. Midnight needs a home with no children younger than age 6; please bring in any older children or other dogs he might live with for a visit. Midnight also needs to be in a cat-free home. Watch Midnight on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELtKwoN8YZg&feature=relmfu.

Nina is an 8-year-old blue and white domestic shorthair. She is a shy girl but once she comes out of her shell, she has a lot of love to give. Nina will need a home with children older than age 14. She has been an indoor-outdoor cat and would enjoy having that option in a new home.

These pets are among those available for adoption from noon to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Humane Society for Southwest Washington, 1100 N.E. 192nd Ave., Vancouver. Fees — which can include registered microchip, health exam, a spay or neuter certificate and vaccination — vary. Call 360-693-4746.
