Toys still welcome for seasonal party

Hazel Dell — The “Christmas in July” toy drive that got out ahead of all the seasonal charity drives did well. According to the latest Northeast Hazel Dell Neighborhood Association newsletter, about 130 new toys were collected, as well as some cash donations, at toy drive barrels at numerous local businesses. The aim is to make sure there’s plenty for all the kids who attend the very popular annual holiday party at Sarah J. Anderson Elementary School — scheduled this year for Dec. 13. More toys are still needed. If you’d like to contribute, drop your unwrapped gift donation at the Burgerville at 99th Street and Highway 99, or contact Amelia Endorf at 360-920-3109.
