The public is invited to be part of revising the Battle Ground Public Schools’ long-range strategic plan.

It’s a crucial step in determining the size of a levy request expected to go before voters in February.

The process also includes assessing how the district has done in meeting its goals in the current plan.

The next meeting is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday in Building C at the former Lewisville Middle School. To reach the campus, turn north off Main Street between Dick’s Tires and the U.S. Post Office and follow the road past Battle Ground High School to Lewisville.

From the parking lot, walk north through a gate to Building C straight ahead.

The current strategic plan, which was adopted by the school board in December 2009, is accessible on the district website by clicking on “District Strategic Plan” on the right.

Vancouver management consultant Thomas O’Connor is facilitating the revision process at no charge.
