KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) — Danica Patrick said she’s disappointed by the results in her first full Nationwide season. She believes the experience has prepared her for a full Sprint Cup schedule next year.

Patrick only has two top 10 finishes for JR Motorsports, but has had several other promising runs ruined by crashes and lousy luck. She was headed for a top five finish at Road America when she tangled with Jacques Villeneuve on the last lap, and also crashed a strong car at Daytona in July.

Then there was the time she ran over a shoe while leading at Montreal.

Patrick, who is running both series this weekend at Kansas, will drive a third Cup car for Stewart-Haas Racing next year. She’s running a 10-race schedule for team owner Tony Stewart this year.
