The Kelso Hilanders still have a chance at a Class 3A Greater St. Helens League title.

So do the Mountain View Thunder.

But right now, they both trail Columbia River.

And yes, there is a chance at a three-way tie.

Kelso recovered three Mountain View fumbles, recovered the ball on two pooch kicks, and those bounces led to a thrilling win over Mountain View.

Kelso (7-1, 3-1 GSHL) is tied with Mountain View (5-3, 3-1) for second place. The Thunder take on Columbia River (5-3, 4-0) next week.

Kelso quarterback Aaron Adams found Somit Chhim behind the Mountain View secondary for a third-quarter touchdown pass to make it 14-6.

Mountain View’s Austin Mace scored his second touchdown of the game — a 38-yard run — midway through the fourth qaurter. But the 2-point try failed.

Mountain View had one more chance to score but lost the ball on downs in the final two minutes of the game.
