Letter: Anderson well-qualified

The Columbian
Published: October 19, 2012, 5:00pm

I have known Julia Anderson since 1987 when I served as president of the Vancouver Rotary Club. Our club decided to admit women, and one of the five respected and successful businesswomen selected to join was Anderson. During the past 25 years, Anderson has been involved in our club.

Anderson is very capable of replacing Carol Curtis as District 1 commissioner at Clark Public Utilities. This position requires someone outside the utility who can work with the other commissioners to resolve issues and assist in growth and continued high service levels to benefit all citizens served by the utility.

Anderson is well-qualified to fill the role of commissioner.
