Letter: Romney endorsement is troubling

The Columbian
Published: October 20, 2012, 5:00pm

I am disappointed that The Columbian endorsed Mitt Romney. Without getting into all the issues, it shocked me that this newspaper would endorse a billionaire who is not in touch at all with low/middle income America. How could he be with all his wealth?

I would venture to say that the majority of The Columbian’s readership are middle income Americans who have worked hard for everything they have.

No politician is perfect, that is a fact. But Romney has blatantly proved his ineptness with foreign diplomacy/relations and his negative empathy for low/middle income America.

I am truly, truly disappointed in this endorsement. My solace is that individual voters will decide for themselves.
