LOS ANGELES (AP) — UCLA forward David Wear may return to basketball practice next Monday after X-rays on his sprained right ankle were negative.
A team spokesman said Tuesday that the staff is hopeful Wear will be ready by then.
Wear sprained his ankle during practice last Sunday. The junior averaged 10.2 points and 6.3 rebounds while starting 30 of 32 games for the Bruins last season.
UCLA opens the season Nov. 9 against Indiana State.
