Habitat raises $27,000 to raise more roofs

Esther Short — Evergreen Habitat for Humanity raised more than $27,000 at its ninth annual Raising the Roof breakfast benefit on Oct. 11 at the Hilton Vancouver Washington. More than 280 people attended. Keynote speaker was the Rev. Dr. Marilyn Sewell. Habitat volunteer Camille Wright received the 2012 Ray Johnson Volunteer of the Year Award. Evergreen Habitat for Humanity has been working to improve living conditions for low-income Clark County residents since 1991. Visit http://www.ehfh.org to learn more.
