Letter: GOP women can lead recovery

The Columbian
Published: October 23, 2012, 5:00pm

Last election, voters again voted in the two-thirds requirement for raising taxes. The 49th Legislative District approved it by almost 70 percent. Rep. Jim Moeller, D-Vancouver, didn’t like the vote so he joined with the Washington Education Association and others in suing constituents to invalidate your vote. Moeller has shown he has no respect for constituents and will do what he can to overturn your clear message. We deserve someone who will listen to constituents.

Let’s get a recovery going by electing from the 49th District: Carolyn Crain as representative, position 2; Debbie Peterson as representative, position 1; Eileen Qutub as senator — three women ready to lead and not follow special interests.
