Dolphins’ Pouncey on Jets’ Maybin: ‘He’s a joke’

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey is the latest to add to the back-and-forth banter with the New York Jets, taking exception to comments by Aaron Maybin and calling him “a joke.”

Maybin told ESPNNewYork.com on Wednesday that the Jets want to “knock out” Dolphins running back Reggie Bush, “but we’re out to do it legally.” Pouncey was told of Maybin’s comments Thursday and fired back: “He’s done nothing in this league to even open his mouth.”

The testiness started Wednesday when Jets coach Rex Ryan said he thought Bush should apologize for comments that Darrelle Revis getting hurt the last time the teams played was karma. Bush took exception to Ryan saying the Jets were going to put “hot sauce” on him, but the coach said he meant putting a lot of attention on him, not injuring him.
