Guidopanzini wins Santa Anita feature

ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Guidopanzini led all the way to win the $50,000 feature by 3 1/4 lengths at Santa Anita on Friday.

Ridden by Garrett Gomez, Guidopanzini ran 1 1/16 miles in 1:43.39 and paid $19.40, $7.80 and $4.60 at 8-1 odds in the eight-horse field.

Liberty Cap returned $5 and $3.60, while Planet Sunshine was another 3 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $2.20 to show as the 2-1 favorite.

The victory, worth $30,000, increased Guidopanzini’s career earnings to $73,930, with two wins in nine starts.
