A business moves next door to an animal shelter and then complains about barking dogs — really? Oct. 18 story “Barks vs. sirens dog Washougal.” I wonder how those shelter volunteers kept dogs from barking when the business owners were visiting the property prior to deciding to buy? Maybe as a compromise we could move the business next door to the motocross track and hope they wouldn’t complain about the dust and noise. Maybe next to a school playground and see if the school district can keep all the kids inside and quiet. Would they notice the planes if we proposed by the airport? Train noise by the railroad tracks? Perhaps it’s their own poor business decision?
