Letter: Background puts Malinowski ahead

The Columbian
Published: October 26, 2012, 5:00pm

The operations of our utility company are complex. I plan to vote for Jim Malinowski because a commissioner with a technical background is best positioned to advocate and lead.

There is a reason that most athletic coaches are former athletes themselves. It’s because they can empathize with their players, understand the sport first hand and offer real leadership based upon their knowledge and experience. Avid sports fans and sports writers cannot offer first-hand experience needed to be an effective coach, or leader, despite their deep knowledge of, and interest in, the sport.

Compare the candidates. Vote Malinowski for Clark Public Utilities commissioner.
