Letter: Olson is the best choice

The Columbian
Published: October 26, 2012, 5:00pm

I’ve worked with Julie Olson in her role on the Ridgefield School District’s Board of Directors, and, even though I’m a Democrat, I support her race for 17th District Representative. Her background as a businesswoman, caring mother, and board member makes her the best choice.

She understands the needs of our community by helping businesses create jobs and fully funding education. She knows how to work with unions, not for unions.

During the economic downturn, Ridgefield didn’t lay off a single teacher, and it did so through fiscal responsibility not financial assistance. I endorse Olson. You should, too.
