DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) — Formula One team Toro Rosso says its current driver line-up of Daniel Ricciardo and Jean-Eric Vergne will race again in the 2013 season.

Toro Rosso made the announcement Wednesday. Both drivers joined the team this season. Ricciardo is 17th with 12 points and Vergne 18th with nine in the drivers’ standings.

Team principal Franz Tost said in a statement that “both drivers have done a good job this season” and that “everyone in the team has been impressed with their maturity in terms of working with engineers and their racecraft on track.”

Ricciardo says he is “pumped” to return with Toro Rosso and that there are “big expectations for next year and I’m ready and willing to fulfill them.” Vergne says he is “really happy with the good news.”
