OHSU hosts lecture series

The fall session of Oregon Health & Science University’s “Ask the health expert” seminar series begins in November.

Lectures feature specialists in each field who talk about development in treatment, prevention and detection. Lectures are followed by question-and-answer sessions.

The lectures begin at 7 p.m. and take place at the OHSU Center for Health & Healing, third floor, 3303 S.W. Bond Ave. in Portland.

Here is the lecture schedule:

  • Nov. 7: “Unsightly or Symptomatic Varicose and Spider Veins?” by Drs. Gregory Landry and Timothy Liem.
  • Nov. 13: “Gotta Go! – Break Free from Bladder Disorders” by Drs. Renee Edwards, Tom Gregory and Mary Ann Denman.
  • Nov. 14: “Living Successfully with Failed Back Syndrome” by Dr. David Sibell.
  • Nov. 28: “New Treatments for Advanced Prostate Cancer” by Dr. Joshi Alumkal.
