MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Seimone Augustus has become the all-time leading scorer for the Minnesota Lynx, surpassing Katie Douglas’ franchise record with a 3-pointer early in the second quarter Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Sparks.
Augustus, who came into the game averaging 17.1 points this season, bested Smith’s previous mark of 3,605 career points. The 2006 first overall pick has a career average of 19.2 points, fourth best in WNBA history, and is 25th on the WNBA all-time scoring list.
