SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Giants recalled Emmanuel Burriss from Triple-A Fresno before their game with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The 27-year-old infielder was designated for assignment on July 28 and cleared waivers before accepting an outright assignment to the Grizzlies.
The Giants on Tuesday also recalled right-hander Dan Otero and left-hander Dan Runzler.
Right-hander Eric Hacker, who appeared in four games with the Giants this year, was designated for assignment to make room for Burriss on the 40-man roster.
