Thursday

Shumway Neighborhood Association picnic and meeting, 5 p.m. picnic in the park, 6:45 p.m. clean up, 7 p.m. meeting, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, 3100 Main St.: The neighborhood association will provide pulled-pork sandwiches, hamburgers and ice cream. Neighbors are encouraged to bring a side dish to share, their own beverages, silverware and dishes.

Fruit Valley Neighborhood Association, 7 p.m., Fruit Valley Community Center, 3200 Fruit Valley Road: Treats and socializing at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday

Countryside Woods Neighborhood picnic and meeting, noon to 3 p.m., Countryside Park, Northeast Seventh Street and 153rd Avenue: Bring a side, salad or dessert to share at noon potluck; burgers and hot dogs provided. Bring chairs. General meeting, 2 p.m., with election of next year’s board members.

Sunday

First Place Neighborhood Association annual picnic, 4-7 p.m., barbecue at 5 p.m., Northeast 16th Street and 151st Avenue: Bring a potluck side dish or dessert to share, your own nonalcoholic beverages and lawn chairs.

Monday

Lincoln Neighborhood Association, 6 p.m. , Lincoln Elementary, 4200 N.W. Daniels St.: Meeting, cookie social, school supply drive and kickball game.

Tuesday

Kevanna Park Neighborhood Association, 7 p.m., Northwest Baptist Convention Center, 3200 N.E. 109th Ave.: Sign up, billt47@msn.com.

Upcoming

Truman Neighborhood Association Picnic, 3 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 15, Bosco Farm Neighborhood Park, 3601 N.E. 39th St.: Hamburgers, hot dogs provided. Bring a side dish and nonalcoholic beverages for your family, plus blankets or chairs. A Clark County Sheriff vehicle and fire engine will be on display. Limited parking. No pets except for service animals.
