Ginn, Jacobs inactive for 49ers vs. Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Return specialist Ted Ginn Jr. and running back Brandon Jacobs are inactive for the San Francisco 49ers’ season opener against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday.

Neither player practiced this week and both were listed as questionable going into Sunday’s game. Ginn has an ankle injury and Jacobs has a knee injury.

Quarterback Scott Tolzien, running back LaMichael James, guard Joe Looney, tight end Garrett Celek and nose tackle Ian Williams also were inactive for the 49ers.

Running back James Starks, cornerback Davon House, wide receiver Jarrett Boykin, safety Sean Richardson, cornerback Brandian Ross, linebacker Jamari Lattimore and defensive end Mike Daniels are inactive for Green Bay.
