Newborn wins baby contest in La Center

La Center — Twenty-seven babies entered the baby contest at La Center’s Our Days festival Aug. 24-26. Three local judges chose Rylee Grace, 2 1/2-week-old daughter of Ryan and Jubilee Roth of La Center, as Grand Champion Beautiful Baby. The festival began with a twilight parade Friday night. Liz Cerveny was grand marshal. Other activities included a cruise-in and barbershop music.
