CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (AP) — Harvard’s football team appears to have escaped damage in the plagiarism scandal that could affect as many as 125 students on campus.
The Crimson weren’t missing any of their starters — or anyone else of note — when they played San Diego in the opener at Harvard Stadium on Saturday. Athletic department spokesman Kurt Svoboda says no one has been removed from the roster in the weeks since news of the cheating scandal broke.
The school announced in August that as many as half of the students in a single class may have shared answers or plagiarized on a take-home, open book final exam in a single class. Published reports have said the co-captains of the basketball team have withdrawn from school rather than jeopardize their eligibility.
