ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — The Anaheim Ducks signed defenseman Cam Fowler to a five-year contract extension Saturday through the 2017-18 season.
Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
“We’re excited to sign Cam to a long-term contract,” general manager Bob Murray said. “He’s a character kid with a great chance to become an elite NHL defenseman.”
The 20-year-old Fowler had five goals and 24 assists in 82 games last season. Drafted 12th overall in 2010, he had 10 goals and 30 assists in 76 games as a rookie in 2010-11.
