Letter: Qutub has legislative experience

The Columbian
Published: October 12, 2012, 5:00pm

I am disappointed, yet not surprised, that The Columbian endorsed Annette Cleveland for the state Senate in the 49th Legislative district. Eileen Qutub is far more capable in leading the district.

She served in the Oregon state House and Senate and was majority whip and served on the Ways and Means Committee as well. There’s a learning curve in serving, and Cleveland doesn’t have it.

Can you compare her “intricacies of legislative process through health care services and several political arenas” to Qutub’s experience? I say “no.”
