Letter: Council moving in right direction

The Columbian
Published: September 17, 2012, 5:00pm

Kudos to the Vancouver City Council for considering an ordinance limiting sales of fireworks to three days and limiting their use to the Fourth of July.

However, as in all of the intelligent large cities in the state, the councilors should have eliminated fireworks completely.

Now it is time for the fence-straddling career politicians in the county commissioners office to do the same and then local residents and our distressed pets will only have to listen to the disruptions for one day.
