BAYAMON, Puerto Rico (AP) — The Los Angeles Galaxy and the Puerto Rico Islanders played to a 0-0 draw in a CONCACAF Champions League match Wednesday.

The tie left the Galaxy in the lead in Group 5 (2-0-1) play over Isidro Metapan. The Major League Soccer team will face El Salvador’s Isidro Metapan (1-1), which is second, in its final group game on Oct. 25.

The Galaxy were without marquee strikers David Beckham and Robbie Keane, neither of whom made the trip to Puerto Rico.

Neither star played last month when the Galaxy beat the Islanders, of the North American Soccer League, 4-0 in their Aug. 29 CONCACAF match in California.

Beckham has been sidelined nearly three weeks with a sprained ankle.
