NFL, Dial Global extend deal through 2017 season

NEW YORK (AP) — The National Football League and Dial Global Inc. have extended Dial Global’s contract for radio broadcasts of NFL games through the 2017 season.

The two did not disclose terms of the deal on Thursday. Dial Global has been the NFL’s exclusive radio network partner since 1987, and is scheduled to broadcast 63 national games during the 2012 season.

The new agreement runs to Super Bowl LII, which will be played in early 2018.

Dial Global provides audio to more than 8,500 stations. Its sports programming includes the NFL and college football and basketball games.

Shares of New York-based Dial Global slipped 13 cents, or 4.9 percent, to $2.51 on Thursday.
