A driver suffered minor injuries Friday morning after his car ran over an embankment near Hathaway Park in Washougal.

The crash was reported at 8:45 a.m. near the park at 799 25th St. The Camas-Washougal Fire Department and Washougal police responded.

Firefighters found a single person inside the vehicle who had minor injuries but was unable to get out of the car, said Camas-Washougal Chief Nick Swinhart.

Firefighters used nearby construction equipment to secure the car and prevent it from sliding down the hill, Swinhart said.
