MIAMI (AP) — The schedule says No. 20 Louisville is playing at FIU on Saturday.

Odds are, the Cardinals will be the ones feeling right at home.

It’s no secret that Louisville coach Charlie Strong loves to recruit in South Florida, and his efforts will be on full display Saturday night when the Cardinals (3-0) travel to face the Panthers (1-2).

There are 22 players from Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach on the Cardinals’ roster — 15 with Miami listed as their hometown.

Louisville quarterback Teddy Bridgewater says he played in FIU’s stadium seven times while in high school at Miami Northwestern, one of the area’s most fabled programs. He’s completed nearly 82 percent of his passes this season for the Cardinals, who lost at home to FIU a year ago.
