Butler beats Campbell 35-14

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Trae Heeter ran for 204 yards and a pair of touchdowns, and Matt Lancaster ran for two more scores and threw a TD pass to lead Butler past Campbell 35-14 on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (2-2) led 14-7 at halftime, but Lancaster’s 9-yard scoring run and Heeter’s 79-yard touchdown broke it open in the Pioneer League opener for both schools.

Lancaster, who ran for a 45-yard TD in the fourth quarter, completed 15 of 21 pass attempts for 168 yards, including a 3-yard scoring pass to Dylan Johnson. Lancaster ran nine times for 61 yards while Heeter, who had a 7-yard touchdown in the first quarter, carried 21 times.

Kurt Odom ran for two touchdowns for Campbell (1-3). Dakota Wolf ran for 111 yards in 31 carries and was 17 of 23 for 159 passing yards for the Fighting Camels.
