ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The Dallas Cowboys are playing without both of their starting safeties.

Barry Church left in the third quarter of Sunday’s game against Tampa Bay with a left leg injury. The Cowboys didn’t say what the exact injury was or the extent of it, but trainers appeared to be looking at his ankle or foot when he was down on the ground.

Gerald Sensabaugh, the other starter, was inactive for the game because of a calf injury sustained in last week’s loss at Seattle. Church left that game with a thigh bruise, but practiced during the week and started against the Buccaneers.
