Eastern Kentucky routs Jacksonville State 51-21

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) — T.J. Pryor threw four touchdowns and Matt Denham ran for two more in Eastern Kentucky’s 51-21 win over Jacksonville State on Saturday night in the Ohio Valley Conference opener for both teams.

Pryor, who completed 13 of 20 passes for 231 yards, threw touchdowns to four different receivers in the win.

His first, a 28-yarder to running back Denham, gave Eastern Kentucky (3-1) an early 7-0 lead.

Jacksonville State (1-2) cut the deficit to 14-8 but Pryor threw touchdowns on three straight possessions to put Eastern Kentucky ahead 34-8 at halftime.

Pryor needs 119 yards and 30 completions to become Eastern Kentucky’s career leader in both categories.

Denham paced the Colonels rushing attack with 218 yards, including 132 in the first half, on 24 carries and recorded his 11th 100-yard rushing game in the last 12 games.

Marques Ivory led Jacksonville State with 181 yards passing but threw two interceptions.
