SE Missouri edges Tennessee Tech 41-38 in 2 OT

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (AP) — Drew Geldbach booted a 34-yard field goal in the second overtime as Southeast Missouri earned a wild 41-38 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday night.

Geldbach’s kick came after Southeast Missouri (2-2, 1-0 Ohio Valley) tied it at 38 in the first overtime on a 25-yard touchdown pass from Scott Lathrop to D.J. Foster. Those two accounted for all of their team’s passing yardage — 101 on 7 completions.

Tennessee Tech (2-2, 0-1) scored first in overtime on a 3-yard run by quarterback Tre Lamb.

Lamb completed 38 of 57 passes for 481 yards and 3 TDs, and Da’Rick Rogers caught 18 passes for 303 yards and 2 TDs.

Southeast Missouri’s Branden Spann returned an interception 100 yards for a touchdown in the second quarter.
