Clayton Farr, Ridgefield
Ridgefield’s Clayton Farr was voted The Columbian’s football player of the week in a vote by fans on Facebook.
Farr collected 37 percent of a record 1,170 votes cast by fans to beat out Jacob Dennis of Skyview. Dennis had 25 percent. All five nominees drew at least 128 votes.
Farr scored three touchdowns, rushed for 60 yards on nine carries and caught three passes for 41 yards in the Spudders’ win over Hudson’s Bay.
Other nominees included Union’s Trent Cowan, Battle Ground’s Kevin Haynes and Heritage’s Loren Standiford.
Nominees are posted on The Columbian’s blog at www.360preps.com on Saturday. Voting starts shortly thereafter at www.facebook.com/360preps and continues until Tuesday evening.
