NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL has selected veteran referee Gene Steratore to lead a seven-man crew of regular officials in calling Thursday night’s game between the Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens.
The game will be the first officiated by the regulars since they were locked out by the NFL in a contract dispute. The union and league agreed to a new deal at midnight Thursday.
The first three weeks of the season was marked by replacement officials botching a number of calls, including one that gave the Seahawks a disputed win over the Packers on Monday night.
The other officials are umpire Bill Schuster, head linesman Wayne Mackie, line judge Jeff Seeman, field judge Bob Waggoner, side judge Jimmy DeBell and back judge Greg Steed.
Steratore is in his 10th season as an NFL official.
