Pierce County seizes 39 sick horses from Graham property

GRAHAM — Dozens of horses were seized Wednesday from a Pierce County property where authorities said they were living in squalid conditions.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department took 39 sick or starving horses from the property in Graham. they included a dozen Arabians and some stallions.

Authorities said many of the horses were thin and some had injuries, and most were living in barns that had large amounts of urine and feces.
