MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Former world welterweight champion Ricky Hatton will make his comeback against Vyacheslav Senchenko of Ukraine on Nov. 24.
Hatton, who held titles in both the light welterweight and welterweight divisions, announced this month that he was returning to the ring after three years in retirement.
Promoters announced Friday he will fight the 35-year-old Senchenko in a 10-round bout at the Manchester Arena.
Senchenko, a former WBA welterweight champion, is 32-1. He was stopped in the ninth round by American Paulie Malignaggi in Donetsk, Ukraine, last April.
Hatton, who turns 34 next week and has a 45-2 record, hasn’t fought since being knocked out by Manny Pacquiao in 2009. His other loss came against Floyd Mayweather Jr. in 2007.
