LONGVIEW, Wash. (AP) — The Coast Guard and state Ecology Department responded to a diesel leak from a ship moored near Longview that caused a half-mile long sheen on the Oregon side of the Columbia River.

The Coast Guard says a crack in the fuel tank was patched Wednesday afternoon, but agencies are working with contractors to remove the fuel and threat to the environment.

The 100-foot Tiffany is a former fishing vessel. The Coast Guard is trying to contact the owner.
