Free admission at fort for Public Lands Day

Admission to the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site Saturday, Sept. 29 is free. It’s part of the observance of National Public Lands Day.

The reconstructed Fort Vancouver stockade, 1001 E. Fifth St., is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

National Public Lands Day began in 1994 to increase awareness of the value of all public lands.
