Motorcycle vs. pedestrian crash may be vehicular assault

A pedestrian was hurt Saturday evening after being struck by a motorcycle at the intersection of Northeast 49th Street and 112th Avenue, according to the Vancouver Police Department.

The crash is being investigated as a possible vehicular assault, said VPD Sgt. Mike Davis.

The crash was reported at 5:53 p.m., according to dispatch records. Vancouver Fire Department Capt. Kevin Murray said one person was transported to a local hospital.

Davis said the victim is male, but his age, name and condition were not available Saturday.
