TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Washington safety Brandon Meriweather is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after colliding with teammate Aldrick Robinson on the field during pregame warmups.

Meriweather and Robinson, a reserve receiver who also was declared inactive, remained on the ground in the end zone for several minutes before being helped to their feet and walking to the locker room. Meriweather had been listed as probable to play after being limited in practice with a knee sprain.

Washington’s other inactives are quarterback Rex Grossman, cornerback Cedric Griffin, running back Ryan Grant, linebacker Markus White and guard Adam Gettis.

Cornerbacks Myron Lewis and Anthony Gaitor, running back Michael Smith, linebacker Najee Goode, defensive back Keith Tandy, tackle Jeremy Trueblood and receiver Chris Owusu are inactive for Tampa Bay.
