WASHINGTON (AP) — Free-agent guard Jannero Pargo signed with the Washington Wizards, who were looking to add backcourt depth while John Wall is sidelined with a left knee injury.
The 6-foot-1 Pargo averaged 5.6 points, 1.9 assists and 1.5 rebounds with the Atlanta Hawks last season, his eighth in the NBA.
He also has played with the Los Angeles Lakers, Toronto Raptors, Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Hornets, with career averages of 6.5 points, 2.0 assists and 1.5 rebounds.
The Wizards announced the deal Monday.
On Friday, the team said Wall would be out for about two months, including the first month or so of the regular season.,
