Hudson’s Bay High student joins other change makers

East Minnehaha: A Hudson’s Bay student’s charitable spirit paid off with a special trip to Seattle for a gathering meant to celebrate how youth can create positive change. Jared Remsing’s volunteer efforts in the community and as a member of the Mount Hood Ski Patrol helped him get a ticket to Free the Children’s We Day conference March 27, where the 16-year-old and nearly 15,000 other young do-gooders learned about the power of community service while listening to speakers and performers, including Jennifer Hudson, Magic Johnson and Martin Sheen. Remsing was sent to Seattle courtesy of Amway, which gave 50 tickets to children of Amway business owners.
