MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love calls this a wasted season for him. And now he’s vowing to come back stronger than ever after injuries limited him to 18 games in what was supposed to be a big year for him and the Wolves.
Love spoke to the media on Saturday for the first time since having arthroscopic surgery on his left knee, a procedure that ended any chance of him returning to the court this season.
Love missed the bulk of the season with a right hand that was broken twice. While he was preparing to return from hand surgery, Love felt discomfort in his left knee. Doctors removed built-up scar tissue on Wednesday.
Love says the knee surgery won’t prevent him from a full offseason of workouts.
